HMD Global has already started the transition to its own HMD brand even for feature phones, but the Nokia brand has not yet been completely abandoned as far as dumb phones are concerned.
Now HMD has announced the new Nokia 108 4G feature phone in China.
The Nokia 108 4G seems to be based on the same platform as the HMD 105 4G announced in September. It's about a simplified feature phone that doesn't even have a camera.
The Nokia 108 4G has a 2.4-inch LCD screen and an easily replaceable battery with a capacity of 1,450 mAh. Charging takes place via the USB-C connection. In addition, there is a 3.5 mm traditional headphone connection and a Bluetooth 5.0 connection for wireless headphones.
Thanks to its 4G LTE mobile network connection, the Nokia 108 4G supports VoLTE calls. There are two SIM card slots.
Like the familiar feature phones, the Nokia 108 4G also has an LED light that can be used as a flashlight.
In China, the Nokia 108 4G also includes the Alipay, Himalaya and Migu Music applications.
Color options for the Nokia 108 4G are black, cyan, or blue-green, and pink.
In China, the price of the Nokia 108 4G is 259 yuan, or about 36 USD. There is no information about wider availability yet.
